Georgian youth still terrorized in Russian occupied Abkhazia
Pro-Kremlin Abkhazian militia leader of the Gali district of occupied Georgian region Abkhazia Besik Kirtadze summoned young people who intend to take Unified National Exams in Georgia to enter high education institutions.
He personally visited all schools in the Gali district, 95% of population of which are Georgians, and demanded from school administrations to ensure attendance of all those boys and girls who are going to take exams in Tbilisi.
Kirtadze said that residents of Gali must pass military service in the Abkhazian army and study in Georgian schools does not exempt them from this "honourable" duty. In case of refusal to serve in the army, Georgians will be faced with a fine of 15-30 thousand Russian rubles.
In 1992-1993 and in 2008, Russia organized an ethnic cleansing of Georgians in Abkhazia and South Ossetia. More than 400,000 Georgians were driven out of Abkhazia & South Ossetia and are not allowed to return to their homes until today. (Medvedev: “Georgians are very close and dear nation for us“…)
