In my back yard

We have three pairs of these Florida Finches nesting in the vines in our home. Next to Blue Jays they are my most favorite song bird.
This little boy is sitting in a Red Crab Apple Tree (Royalty Crab) on a branch. Their song can be found on you-tube. When they see human movement or predators they fllee their nest to make it safe from discovery. When all is safe and quiet again they come close to view the area then enter the nests. This photo was taken with a 500 mm lens at 150 yards.
It took two months to get this one photo.
As I get older I appreciate these creatures more and more.
