Thousands of Shafik and SCAF supporters gather on Saturday, June 23, at El Manasa in Nasr city, eastern Cairo. Number of demonstrators there were less than the numbers I've seen in Tahrir square. They gathered to show their support for the ex-regime presidential candidate, Ahmed Shafik, celebrated his claimed victory in Egypt's presidential elections and also showed their support to the ruling Supreme Council of Armed Forces. Police, army officers and members of Mubarak's dissolved National Democratic part were among the crowds supporting Shafik. There were also central security forces guarding the demonstration. There were chants against the revolution, Tahrir square and the Muslim Brotherhood. Demonstrators held Shafik posters and waved Egyptian flags. It's the first time I document an anti-revolution event. I was not allowed to take shots freely so I had to walk with the camera and take some quick shots.
