I am by no means WHATSOEVER a spokesperson for any branch of the Occupy movement, and everything said is from my own PERSONAL perspective. Occupy is not what most believe it to be, nor how most major news outlets portray it. Occupy is about accountability. For many occupiers, there is a large feeling of being overlooked, or not being truly represented by the people who they cast their one and only vote for. Politicians need to come to the realization that the American people are not angry just over specific issues, but because most politicians no longer feel the need to keep promises made to their constituents. I was recently at a General Assembly (a meeting of occupiers to discuss upcoming plans for future demonstrations, among other things), and afterwards, told of the horror stories of kids having their heads bashed in by police batons, personal property being stolen by officers, cell phones being raided for contacts, among many other blatantly unconstitutional and unjustifiable acts.
