    New state Bishop in Iceland today

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     ander attended the ceremony where the newly elected State Bishop of Iceland takes office today. He says he thinks it is great that a woman was elected for the position. 'It shows what equal opportunity means,' he says. He says a highlight for him during the ceremony was to see the Bishop of Iceland come walking through the church. 'It was great to witness this and to see all the foreign Bishops attending the ceremony,' he says.

    Today a newly elected Bishop is taking her office today .
    Lots of Bishops from Euorpe attend.
    The church - Hallgrimskirkja , in Reykjavik was used .
    The new Bishop is . Ms. Agnes M. Sigurdardottir .
    And next week there will be a presidential election , and then there could be elected a woman too .

    And if that happens , the the Prime minister, the finance minister, the president of parliament,and the new Bishop - all women .
