Two Chicks & a Tropical Storm Named Debby
We felt invincible. After spending an incredible weekend with the iReport team and fellow iReporters nothing was going to slow us down. Driving home we hit 9 ½ hours of torrential rain from Atlanta to Vero Beach, FL. Tropical Storm Debby threw off rain bands consecutively.
High on the after effects of being around inspiring journalists, we forged on, reflecting on what we had learned and who we had met.
Armed with boxed lunches from the closing session we felt prepared for what Mother Nature dished up!
This clip captures our emotions and the sound of driving rain. It’s also a heartfelt thank you to the iReport Team. We are grateful for all of the hard work that went into planning the weekend. We know that you took time away from your families and loved ones to make our experience special. Thank you for such a transformational experience!
Although Tropical Storm Debby is not a friend of ours, we felt secure in knowing that the iReport team was behind us, even in hurricane weather!
