We were on a train headed to DC from the iReport Awards weekend when we realized that our train would arrive in just enough time for us to make it over to the supreme court, where the ruling on the Affordable Care Act (aka “Obamacare”) or the date of its ruling would be announced. These are pictures and videos we took of the crowd protesting outside. Interesting enough, we didn’t come across a single person vocalizing support for the ACA; the crowd was overwhelmingly against it. Another thing to note is as we were heading down to the Supreme Court, significant parts of Arizona’s immigration law were struck down, yet the crowd remained focused solely on the ACA. The decision to push the ruling back and the strong interest in the ACA are good indications that tensions will only rise outside of the Supreme Court in the days to come.
