Atlanta Author Releases 2nd Book on “Occupy” and “99%” Movements

Atlanta-based writer, Internet pastor, political activist and dissident Paul J. Bern announces the release of his second book, ”Occupying America: We Shall Overcome”. Written in the style of an investigative reporter, this 264-page book is simply the latest, most exhaustive and most comprehensive book about the growing “Occupy Wall St.” and “We Are The 99%” movements. It offers the clearest explanation to date about what these movements are trying to accomplish and what they stand for, and it ends with a prediction of mass civil unrest in the US and other developed countries for the remainder of 2012 and beyond due to extreme economic hardship and what amounts to enforced austerity. This is the definitive book on the state of American political dissent in the early 21st century, and it ends with a prediction of mass civil unrest (dare I say revolution?) in the US and other capitalist countries due to the extreme concentration of wealth in favor of the top 1%.

This month is also the first anniversary of the publication of Paul J. Bern's groundbreaking first book, “The Middle and Working Class Manifesto”. This is the book that helped initialize and inspire the “Occupy” and “99%” Movements, and it correctly predicted the beginning of both these movements over two months before they occurred. The Manifesto was written after the author found himself forced out of the job market and out of the middle class 15 years before retirement age. It chronicles the ongoing demise of the US middle class, the unemployment and foreclosure crises, and what Mr. Bern calls, “the ticking time bomb of inequality”. It proposes a myriad of solutions, from ending the “war on drugs” to ending the wars overseas, and it demands free health care and higher education for everyone without qualification. This book is a must-read for anyone who thinks America is headed in the wrong direction.
