Maryam Rajavi: “Iran’s spring is still alive” and the situation in Iran is explosive
Ennahar El Djadid, June 24, 2012 - Maryam Rajavi, President of National Council of Resistance of Iran, the opposition in exile, in an interview with AFP said that despite the repression by the regime, “Iran’s spring is still alive” and the situation in Iran is explosive. Rajavi, President of National Council of Resistance of Iran with the PMOI as its principal member explained that “the condition in the Iranian society is explosive and people are looking for change and there is no future for the current regime. Iran is suffering from unimaginable suppression.” She continued: “The clerical regime has drawn a conclusion regarding the experience in Libya and Syria to avert a similar condition to what happened to Qaddafi and Asad and it has decided to speed up its nuclear program and to annihilate the PMOI that shapes a democratic alternative.”
