    New York in the Seventies

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Capistrano99 says she often spent her Sundays walking around New York taking picturees when she lived in the city. She says she took the photos between 1973 and 1977. She says that "in one way or another, all of the people in my photos spark my imagination and unspoken emotions."

    During the 1970s, when I lived and worked in Manhattan, I lived and breathed black and white photography. Armed with my trusty Nikkormat camera, I took literally thousands of photos, many of which were published in textbooks and magazines. Now that I am in my sixties and my photos have become "vintage," I would like to share them with CNN's audience and show what it was like to live in a pre-electronic world.
