Life Stops If Unassisted: Persons with Severe Multiple Impairments of Sweden.

More than 50 Persons with Severe Multiple Impairments urged the Swedish government here in Stockholm early this evening ( June 28, 2012) to stop saving money at the expense of their lives. These groups of people who marched with their assistants on the streets of Stockholm expressed their disappointment over the recent trend of budgets cuts on welfare and privatization of home for persons with disabilities which they believe is compromising their lives. They expressed their disappointment at a Carnival they held today to show the locals that they are proud, visible and active members of the society who can enjoy the summer as any able bodied persons of the town. They said Sweden's assistance users are portrayed as victims of cheating and fraud, while those with large substantial disability lose all or part of their personal assistance. They said having or not having a personal assistance can be a matter of life and death.
