There Is Hope For This Country After All: Obamacare Upheld By Supreme Court

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     TheVideoMan iReporter TheVideoMan is thrilled to see the health care law upheld. "Finally, those who are sick will get the help they need and deserve," he said. His wife has severe health problems and the couple prayed all night for the Supreme Court to uphold the law. "Our prayers were answered," he said.

In a 5 to 4 decision, the United States Supreme Court has upheld the President's heath care reform bill 'The Affordable Care Act', now often referred to as 'Obamacare'.

President Obama has suceeded where all his predasessors had failed for decades: Universal Heathcare for all Americans. The United States was the only developed country left in the modern world without heath care for everyone.

This was a very personal decision for my family. My wife is 100% disabled and suffers from horrific back injuries. She also has severe 'TMJ' Jaw Disorder. We have no 'TMJ' insurance, as medical calls it dental, dental calls it medical, and most of the procedures are considered 'experimental'. We have been devastated by medical bills in the last several years.

Today's decision was a victory for all Americans. Lifetime heathcaps for insurance are now illegal. Pre-existing conditions must now eventually be covered. If you are sick, you must be treated. Over time, Roberta may finally receive the treatment she needs for her TMJ and back injuries.

We had prayed overnight that the Affordable Health Care Act would be upheld. Thanks be to God, our prayers were answered. There is hope for this country after all.

Things had gotten so bad, we were actually thinking of moving to Canada to get affordable health care.

Thank you President Obama, and thanks to the U.S. Supreme Court. Finally we will join the rest of the world with universal heath care for all citizens.

We never thought this day would come. Roberta and I will be celebrating all weekend long. Health care is finally a right - not a privilege - in our country. God Bless America!
