7 Year Old Salutes Soliders with Song

My 7-year-old daughter Brianna Jones recently performed God Bless the U.S.A. in the final round of Northern Arizona’s Got Talent. Before performing the song in front of a standing-room only crowd at the Orpheum Theater in Flagstaff last Wednesday night, she clearly announced: “This is for the soldiers.” Of course at that moment I lost it! Brianna ended up placing third in the 12 and under division, and now her goal is to have her song heard by as many soldiers as possible. No one in our family is in the military, but I’m proud to know that she understands the importance of what the soldiers do for us.
