    Colorado Wild Fires

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     jacecole was watching an in-flight movie on an American Airlines flight from San Francisco to Chicago when he looked out the window and saw plumes of smoke rising from the ground. 'I had a loud reaction to the smoke,' he says. ‘It put things into perspective. You see homes getting destroyed on TV, but seeing it in the air you realize how big this fire actually is. It's devastating to think about people losing their homes,' he says. After he had landed in Chicago he showed the pilot the image and asked about the location. The pilot said they were flying over Fort Collins, Colorado, during that time.

This is a pic taken from an AA flight SFO-ORD on Wed. June 27 , it's amazing how large these fires are. The smoke spread and could be seen for the next hour flight.
