    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     ahknaten of Ann Arbor, Michigan, was vacationing in Topsail Island, North Carolina, when he captured this time-lapse of a storm forming over the coastline. He was particularly intrigued by the rotation of the clouds as well as the lightning strikes that were hitting close to shore. "It was oddly calm at first and then it seemed to hit really quickly," he says. ahknaten documented the storm between 5:42 p.m. and 6:23 p.m. on the evening of July 1.
