Severe storm leaves cancer victim and two kids homeless a home

Jake Forer's family is going through an incredibly difficult time. His mother was diagnosed with Leiomyosarcoma, a rare skin cancer, and is terminal. She is his only living parent. On top of this already life shattering news, a tree fell and crushed his house on Friday during the wind storm. His mother is currently living in the hospital while Jake and his sister live with a family friend.

Jake Forer is our fraternity brother. His family is our family. His hardships our hardships. We started this page because we are one. We must help our brother.

Between our collective families and networks, we aim to help alleviate the burden of hospital bills and potential repair costs to his home.

In Judaism, giving Tzedakah means doing what is right and just. As much as we are part of a Jewish fraternity, we are members of the Jewish tribe. Please share this message with your parents, grandparents, and rabbis and give what you can.

$20,000 might seem like a large amount, but it pales in comparison to the exorbitant cost of medical, repair, and tuition bills his family is now forced to suffer.

All donations will be sent to the AEPi Paypal account and given directly to the Forer's.

Give what you can, be it $5, $50, or $500. It is easy to demonstrate brotherly love during times of happiness. It is our responsibility and our joy to do so during times of hardship.

Thank you for reading and for contributing.

    Sincerely,

    Ian Spiegel - Blum
