    Walking home

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Emily Moses was a couple stops from home when the D.C. Metro Green Line train she was on lost power last night. 'After 25 minutes in waiting with temperatures rising greatly, our driver announced that our rescue train had also lost power and would not be pushing us,' she said. People exited the train and started walking along the train tracks to the next stop, College Park.

'I was a little startled but remained relatively calm. I was very concerned about some of the other passengers though because there was an elderly couple sitting in front of me and several pregnant women on our car who really do not belong in conditions of intense heat,' she said.
