Senior Citizens Form Patriot Choir To Honor War Veterans And Celebrate Independence Day

American House Senior Living Community Patriot Choir Celebrates Independence Day With Performance of Patriotic Songs

To celebrate Independence Day and to honor its war veterans, Michigan-based American House Senior Living Communities formed the American House Patriot Choir. The choir recently debuted a repertoire of songs that include “America the Beautiful,” “God Bless America,” and “The Star Spangled Banner,” at a celebration held at the American House in Rochester Hills, Michigan. The celebration brought the choir together with members of Chapter 154 of the Vietnam Veterans of America Color Guard [Mt.Clemens, Michigan], Oakland County [Michigan] Circuit Judge Michael Warren, and American House founder Bob Gillette, to honor their country, and pay respect to the military veterans of each American House community in Southeast Michigan.

The choir is directed by Daniel Greig. The American House Patriot Choir is part of the company’s life enrichment program which gives American House residents opportunities to showcase their passions and talents. The choir performs “America The Beautiful” at 2:24 -2:34 of the attached video.
