Coolest Fishing Resort & Lodge

Nestled in the Tongass National Forest is the Sportsmans Cove Lodge. It is a mere 20 minute float plane ride from Ketchikan Alaska.
If you are a fisherman and want world class halibut and salmon fishing and want to be in a 5 star luxury resort in the middle of nowhere then try this lodge.
I have been going to this lodge for 8 years and have had a great time every year. No TV and no telephone, the lodge prides itself on excellent service, excellent food and great fishing.
The ratio of staff to guests is 2 to 1. The lodge has 5, 36 ft boats which will make your fishing experience a real delight.
Each morning you awake up at 5am to a home cooked breakfast then 10 hours of fishing, and finally a 4 course dinner sitting around tables with all your fishing friends.
Everything you need, the lodge provides. After 3 days of non stop fishing you wonder where the days went and you are ready to book next years trip.
We fished at Sportsmans Cove this July 1-3 and were delighted to see people ranging in age 8-92 bring in the big ones.
