    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     EWillies1961 felt compelled to respond to reactions against controversial comedian Chris Rock's Twitter comments about America's 4th July celebrations. 'Before we jump on negative feelings of what he said, we should get some joy out of knowing how far we've come,' he said. wjoreilly had more to say on the topic.

    Chris Rock tweet in the right context illustrates where we were, where we are, and where we need to go. Yes it was negative and lacked civility. But I bet he intended to draw a lot of folks into a debate. And boy did he get it.
