Why would Judge Lester grant bail to Zimmerman again on July 5, 2012, after his own court order supports denying that action? I believe that Judge Lester granting of bail again to George Zimmerman politically and possibly racially motivated. Many in this country are fanning the racial divide by using the murder of an unarmed African-American seventeen year old boy as their weapon of choice. Their efforts are meant to distract and discourage President Obama's supporters during the 2012 presidential election.

I also believe that Judge Lester like the Sanford Police Department mishandled the Trayvon Martin murder case. Judge Lester’s discussion that downplayed Zimmerman’s two prior criminal encounters with the law,granting bail at $100,000 from the bench immediately after the first bail hearing and his latest decision to grant bail again in this case supports my belief. Lester should recuse himself from this case and/or the United States Justice Department should charge Zimmerman if there is evidence to support a conviction that Zimmerman violated Trayvon Martin’s civil rights.

ADDITIONAL PROFILE INFORMATION: Vera Richardson has a BS in Political Science and a minor in Criminal Justice. She worked for two and half years in a Supervisor of Inmate Grievance Program title for New York State Department of Correctional Services. In addition to being accountable for the coordination, supervision, implementation, and enforcement, of the Inmate Grievance Program she made sure that the Superintendent of Albion Correctional Facility and staff were aware of and conforming to the mandates of NYSDOCS departmental directives, correction law, and relevant court decisions.

While working as the Supervisor of Inmate Grievance Program Richardson was also a member of Albion’s Temporary Release Committee “Committee”. The two other members of the Committee were a correctional counselor and a parole officer. The Committee met once a week to review the institutional records, conduct interviews and recommend temporary release for female inmates applying for furloughs, work release program, and/or to go to unescorted funerals. In order to be approved for temporary release two out of three members of the Committee had to agree that the inmate could participate in the program.
