    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     joshuacruse got this 'lucky shot' after filming the Cadets Drum Corps in Wakefield, Massachusetts' 4th of July Parade. He used a 40-second exposure to capture the lightning and fireworks.

    On the evening of July 4th, 2012, a strong thunderstorm moved across northern Wakefield, MA during a fireworks show, where I had been filming with The Cadets Drum Corps earlier that day. I grabbed my camera and tripod just in time to shoot a few long exposures of the storm.
