    Sewer explosion in manhattan

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     tefjr77 says he was eating lunch in Manhattan when the lights in his area started to flicker. 'I didn't hear the explosion,' he says. 'But when I walked outside I saw black smoke and flames a block away.' He says a crowd was gathering, and he heard a few people said they heard an explosion. A car above the sewer opening was on fire and so was the scaffolding above it. Shortly after the police responded quickly and put of the fire, according to tefjr77.

    Upper east side sewer exploded causing a car to catch fire and building scaffolding to ignite. Electricity flickerred at time of explosion NYFD arrived quickly.
