The teacher who most impressed and inspired me was Professor Carlos de Jesus, that always treated the students as family and in the classroom the intensity was such, that in describing the mating of worms he, himself could become one. He was perhaps criticized by low and narrow-minds because he was undoubtedly unique. Outside the classroom was a pleasure to see him and hear an highly educated simple man interaction that exceeded almost unconsciously what is “acceptable behavior” because his love for teaching made him a permanent ( teacher) performer with an impressive intellectual complexity. Whenever I think of him, memories of lessons that have the stamina and power of a Broadway Show, with different protagonists. The joy of teaching was so much as the love for knowledge. Learning with him was a constant challenge and the tests where we can use whatever learning educational materials we want to, because he measured interpretations, ideas, even new approaches, not books or authors…and of course the way he treated the students as sons or daughters(literally.)
He was and still is a reference, a man that defenitely loved life and to explain it, a researcher that explains emotions, the human brain and feelings, complex concepts of neurobiology in a simple way, using for that is voice tone, movements, drawings...

Professor Carlos de Jesus always left the classroom sweating, breathing heavily almost exhausted but still talking with a student and that talk could last a coffee at the cafeteria and I always will remember him and talk about him to every single soul I met as the Best Teacher I Ever Had and maybe the most enthusiastic person in the complex vanity fair of the Portuguese educational system and was with extreme sorrow that I became,today, aware of his death when I was writing this I Report Assignment about My most Inspirational Teacher, although people like him are Eternal and his presence will be Everlasting.
