'Savages': Guns, Gore And Weed
- Jareen, CNN iReport producer
Ben and Chon are successful businessmen running a pot-growing empire here in Laguna Beach, CA. Ben, the peaceful Buddhist Botanist, has developed a very powerful strain of weed. Chon is the violent, moody ex-soldier who has served in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Together, they share the gorgeous girlfriend 'O', played by the beautiful Blake Lively. If only every guy could be this lucky lol...
Life is good in Southern California until one of the major Mexican drug cartels moves in and wants to partner with them to control this new superweed.
Make no mistake about it, this is a guys film. If your chick made you go to 'Magic Mike', this is the male payback lol.
There is plenty of sex, drugs, and rock n roll in this flick...So leave the kids at home!
Now Oliver Stone says in an interview with the AP that legalizing pot could be safer, could raise a ton of tax money, and could help keep kids out of jail.
He has smoked great pot from all over the world, from Vietnam to Thailand. But the director says the best weed is made in the USA and that pot could be a huge growth industry for taxpayers if it were legalized.
So that is the point he is making with this film. Stop the violence, and end the illegal drug trade. It's time to legalize, regulate and tax this 'evil' weed.
Has the time for legalizing recreational drugs like pot and coke finally come to pass?
