    Bridging the Gap

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     JherryPhons says because of the Internet, even as an immigrant living in New Zealand, he can still feel connected to his family in the Philippines. 'We are using the [Internet] everyday, but we forget to think or realize the importance it brings to us,' he says.
    - Jareen, CNN iReport producer

As an immigrant in New Zealand, Internet plays a very significant role in staying connected with my families and friends overseas. Because of this, I can talk, see and know what is happening to them while miles away from each other. It also lessens the worries and homesickness that I feel every now and then.
