National Gas Prices - A Snapshot - July 9
It's Monday, which means it's time to take at trip across the US of A and check out how much pain there is at the pump. Unfortunately, the overall picture is higher cost which has been ticking up since the 4th of July.
In our weekly National Snapshot, we look at a select city in all 50 states as well as the District of Columbia. The current trend shows that instead of easing, the pain may be increasing.
Here in the Cornfield, gas costs ranged from $3.27 up 31 cents in the state capitol of Indianapolis to $3.39 up 16 cents in Terre Haute and $3.38 up 9 cents in the Cornfield.
What I found is that in 11 locations the price of gas was down compared to Thursday when it was 17. This was offset by 33 locations that saw cost going up compared to just 20 on Thursday. That means in 6 locations the pump reading was unchanged.
The current national average gas cost is $3.41.4 up 4 cents. Oil per barrel is up to $84.82 or about $2 per barrel.
