Mark Sudimak proposes just before his first deployment to Afghanistan
My son, Mark Sudimak is currently serving our country in Afghanistan, his first deployment. I am so very proud of Mark, he has always had a strong sense of duty to his country and his fellow man, even as a child. Mark was involved with the ROTC program at his local high school, and continued his involvment through college at James Madison University. He has always had a heart of gold! He is stationed in Germany, and just before his deployment to Afganistan, he surprised his longtime girlfriend with an engagement ring while on a romantic trip to Barcelona, Spain. I am so happy for the two of them, and so very proud of the man he has grown to be, I could burst! I think about him and say a prayer everyday for his safe return, and I look forward to the celebration of his life with his new bride, Erica.
