Because of the Internet...I'm in Japan

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     maddogza says because of the Internet, he was able to travel to Japan by making connections through social media sites. 'The Internet has facilitated so many brilliant experiences and connections in my life,' he says. He adds that visiting Japan has been an amazing experience, and he was inspired to travel there because of its culture. 'Although the Internet has some weird and unfortunate aspects, it is largely a vehicle for all kinds of creative communication and collaboration. I think we should do everything we can to keep it open and free to use for everyone,' he says.
    - Jareen, CNN iReport producer

The Internet has allowed me to travel the world, meet new people, connect with old friends, and share these experiences. I'm thrilled about the new UN resolution and any other legislation that supports freedom of expression online, because it lets all of us do these things and so much more.
