    The Hospital Tour....

Recently, I treated my mother to a month long trip to Europe. We had a 6 day mini break to Iceland, which I took both my mum and aunt on. Upon return to Scotland, my aunt had booked an overnight trip to Inverness and this where things started to change. First stop upon arrival? The hospital for my mum who had a cough for a few days that would not stop. Two days after our trip to Inverness, I was heading to Venice. On my second day there I was emailed that my Aunt (where my mum was staying) had a heart attack and was in hospital. On my third day there I was at the hospital with Laryngitis and Bronchitis. My mum and I were to meet up again after a week apart and another doctor's visit for her and then we were off to Amsterdam. All went well until we arrived in Paris. Spent 6 days in Paris and most of it in the apartment as my mum was sick again and overall very run down. Had a special night out planned for her birthday, including a Dinner Cruise down the Seine River...did not make it. So the day before we were due to fly home we were off yet again to the hospital to make sure she had the okay to fly. Diagnosis this time...food poisoning or gastrointestinal infection but at least she was well enough to fly home.
