    Summer Thundershowers and Flash Lightning Roam The Midwest

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     GHung says thunderstorms and heavy rain rolled into Illinois on July 13. Despite the rain and gray overcast skies, the weather cleared up the following day, leaving the area with bright sunshine and clear blue skies, she says.

    The summer heat wave and the drought broke out in a heavy thunderstorm with rainshowers, rafts of winds and flash lightning on Friday afternoon to cool off a sultry hot Friday the 13th in the Midwest, USA.  Continued summer storms lurk in the Midwest following weather advisory for thundershowers and tornadoes roaming in the area for the rest of the week.
