Dozens stage a sit-in to free Egyptian journalist detained in Sudan
Dozens staged a sit-in a couple of days ago outside the Sudanese embassy in Cairo demanding the release of Shaimaa, an Egyptian journalist arrested by the Sudanese security forces while covering the ongoing anti-regime protests in Sudan. Officials from the Egyptian ministry of foreign affairs and the Sudanese embassy in Cairo announced that she will be released in the coming days, but her family and a group of supporters decided to stay at the sit-in till Shaimaa is released.
