5 Out of 6 Doctors Consider Quitting because of ACA
What? Could this be true? 5 out of 6 doctors are considering quitting because of ObamaCare?
Well, my Congresswoman, Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-Washington State) claimed this on "the Daily Rundown" on MSNBC. An editor of the Spokesman Review decided to dig a little to find out what she based this claim on. Turns out it was from a study done by the “nonpartisan” Doctor Patient Medical Association. Digging further he discovered that this group is nothing but a shill for the Tea Party. And the scientific research they publish in their journal is a bunch of hooey. They claim peer review is a sham so they are not beholden to that check. Quite an organization. Unbelievable.
The poll of doctors was conducted without regard to scientific method. The question asked of doctors, a majority of whom are in the South and are in private practice, was this:
“How do current changes in the medical system affect your desire to practice?” The available responses were: 1. thinking of quitting, 2. feeling re-energized and 3. unsure.
Great job docs!
So if my Congresswoman is quoting from junk studies, it begs the question: What is my Congresswoman smoking?
