    Valley of the Supertrees

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     jpenaflorida took this photo of supertrees at Gardens by the Bay, the newest attraction illuminating Singapore. "They are unique man-made structures that aims to grow and replicate just like a normal tree would. Think of it as a high-tech vineyard," he says. "Singapore is inspiring to say the least because they are still progressing and developing, not only the economy, but also the well-being of both citizens and tourists alike, by providing these public places that are truly unique." This image was selected as CNN's Travel Photo of the Day for August 23, 2012.

    The Supertree Grove, in the newly opened Gardens by the Bay in Singapore, is the centerpiece with an amazing lights and sounds show that adds to the dynamic view of the city of Singapore.
