Final musings on the Alternative Universe of the Comic Con...

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     ChalkGuy says this marks the ninth year coming to Comic-Con. He says he has been attending Comic-Con since the 90s, and describes himself as an observer. 'I'm a fan of fans,' he says. 'I am inspired to chronicle the Con because of all the astonishing efforts on behalf of the fans to reinvent themselves as their favorite superheroes.'
    - Jareen, CNN iReport producer

The San Diego Convention Center was returned to its original location after being swooped down upon and altered by aliens, heroes, villains, creatures and myths this past weekend during the 42nd Comic Con. Thousands of fans from around the world came seeking the characters and stories that fuel their imaginations. Given the size of crowd, folks were very polite. We cruised outside the convention to find the legendary collection of Batmobiles, a jaw- dropping assortment of rides. The Popular Arts Industries continue to head toward Infintiy and Beyond...thank you for taking us so many places at once....the pictures tell the stories...."it was just my imagination runnin' away with me..." -N. Whitfield and B. Strong
