This iReport is part of an assignment:
Travel snapshots: The best beaches |
Turtle Beach; has 70 turtles at any time
Great for the kids, wife, grandkids. Go to the Four Seasons Resort entrance 30 miles North of Kona and ask for the private beach access.
They will let you in.
'The beach is used by locals for weddings. Just don't bug the turtles. They are there nesting by the hundreds.
The big rule: use our laws and don't screw up or we'll kick you out. It is called Kukio Beach.
These 3 photos are proof every day of what you will find.
Take ALOHA with you and you will find friends and gentle winds and kind people. And yes, turtles, by the score, in the water and all over the beach.
But keep at least 20 ft. away.
