    Cruise Ship Crew Quarters

This is our living quarters on board a cruise ship. I worked in a cruise ship before. It was fun. This quarter can accommodate up to 4 crew mates, but other quarters which are good for 2 people are really small. Imagine you can already touch both sides of wall of that room if you stretch your hands. Those with a higher position in the ship are also living in a smaller room alone.

The cruise ship -as shown in the photos- I was working before was built in 1997. Some of its quarters can accommodate up to 4 people but in modern cruise ships built earlier, the standard number of crew mates allowed in these living quarters were reducerd to only 2.

It is really hard to stay in this room for 6 months or more depending on your contract. You will be staying there with 3 other crewmates from different nationalities. That is why some of us had to find or look for other rooms with the same nationality to make us feel at home. Staying with 3 other different nationalities is very hard. You have to adjust to get along with them, with there culture.
