CNN's Mirror Lake lands in Astana
The lake has journeyed across Europe to many different cities throughout CNN’s Eye On series. The installation, which is constructed from hundreds of mirrors, took about four hours to build at the base of the iconic Bayterek Tower in Astana.
Two local TV stations and hundreds of local people watched the lake taking shape late into the night. It will remain there until Wednesday evening for the people of Astana to enjoy. After Wednesday, parts of the lake will be moved around the city until the weekend.
The lake is in Kazakhstan to celebrate CNN's first ever live broadcast from the country and the Eye on Kazakhstan week of coverage.
