    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     alamelu captured these photographs from her visit to Long Beach, CA on holiday last year. "The beach is vast and there's room for everyone to pick out their individual relaxation spot and enjoy the outdoors with relative calm and peace," she says. "It is a lovely seaside town close to LA with lots of interesting restaurants to dine at and several cultural events to attend in the evenings."
