    St. Barth's Gouvernour Beach leads the way

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     EmilyCBrands, a self-proclaimed "beach bum," shares this photo of her all-time favorite stretch of sand: Gouvernour Beach on the French island of St. Barth's. "There's a sense of privacy even though it's a public beach. It's surrounded by greenery and it sits nestled within a hilly landscape, further adding to the remote feeling."

    Each time I visit Gouverneur Beach on the french island of St. Barth's, I am blown away by the pristine white sand, the gorgeous turqouise water, and its secluded nature. Even if there are other beachgoers here, I still feel like I'm on my own little stretch of heaven. With a soft, sandy bottom and waves that begged to be bodysurfed at times, this was heaven for my 6-month pregnant self and husband.
