In Wheelersburg, Ohio, Steve Holsinger, 33, was killed at his home on July 13 when Tyler Staker, 22 years old, and his father came to his property to repossess a lawn mower that they say he owed around $700 on. Holsinger, his wife and three young children were in their home when the two Stakers, of Staker Sales and Service, came to their home at approximately 9 PM and proceeded to pound in windows, walls and the air conditioning unit of the Holsingers' home. Steve Holsinger went outside against the advice of his wife, carrying a gun in his pocket for protection. A moment later he was dead after being shot five times by Tyler Staker, who claims Holsinger pointed his gun at him first. Local police did not make any arrests in the case so far, though public outcry has prompted them to send the issue to a grand jury. There have been protesters outside the courthouse in Portsmouth, Ohio. People want to see this case be tried in court. This was a small claims matter and the Stakers should not have shown up with guns. Please help get some national attention to this case.
