    Flying Over Indonesia's Borneo

    Kalimantan (Borneo) is the second largest Indonesian province, Kalimantan refers to the Indonesian portion of the island of Borneo, The Indonesian territory makes up 73% of the island by area. Ever since Indonesia opened its mineral and natural resources for foreign investment in 1970s, Kalimantan province has experienced major boost of timber, petroleum and other exotic forest products. Illegal logging has destroyed a great part of the rainforest. Less than half the original rainforest still remains, and these are a few of them.
