Penn State removing statue of Joe Paterno

The decision by Penn State to remove the statue of Joe Paterno is not only the right thing to do but from a public relations standpoint it's the only plausible response to the ongoing probe into how much Joe Paterno knew and how involved he was in the abuse revelations still unfolding at Penn State.
Can you imagine trying to recruit young people to your college with a statue of someone who allowed such abuse to transpire?
This decision was a no-brainer on the part of university.
