Massive haboob in Phoenix leaves 9,000 without power

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     While heading down Camelback toward 43rd Street in Phoenix, AZ, TehRabbit says she suddenly noticed a huge brown cloud rolling in over the mountains and captured these photos of the dust storm from her car. "The winds were gusting pretty hard, so I made sure to park in a lot away from any tall trees. It was like a scene from "The Mummy" or "Hidalgo", with the giant sandstorms in the deserts of the Middle East," she says. "Within 10 minutes, my position was enveloped in the cloud. The sun was almost completely blocked out, which is quite a feat in the desert. It was very intense!"
    - Anika3, CNN iReport producer

I was driving around Phoenix on Saturday, hoping to find something interesting to do when an absolutely massive Haboob (dust storm) rolled into the valley. Like most others in Phoenix, I sought shelter - but I did manage to get a few excellent shots of the storm.
