    Spectacular Caves of Zakynthos

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     While on vacation with his friends in Zakynthos, meelah101 took a one-day ferry cruise to the island and says she was in awe by the spectacular caves of different sizes and shapes, as well as the blue and green dyed waters of the Ionian Sea. "I felt I was being transported to cloud nine as we passed by the beautiful caves. It was my first time to see an island dotted with so many caves, each with its own impressive details," she says."The cruise had three dive stops where we were allowed to dive and swim for about 20 minutes. The white and fine sands and the cool waters were just irresistible." Her ninth image was featured as CNN's Travel Photo of the Day for August 28, 2012!

    One of the top summer destinations in Greece especially during summer is Zakynthos, one of the islands comprising the Ionian group of islands scattered on the west coast of mainland Greece. A one day ferry cruise brought us around the island's alluring beaches and spectacular caves.
