Light Years: Your view of space and stars |
Thank you Sally Ride!
I was twelve years old when Sally Ride first launched into space on the shuttle Challenger in 1983. On that morning, my family was heading out for our annual Cape Cod trip, but I made everyone wait so we could see the launch. It was a great piece of American history I didn't want to miss. Sally Ride was part of my inspiration to go to Space Camp two years later, which was one of the greatest and most rewarding experiences of my life.
