    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Runners at the mid way point in a gruelling 10-mile race inspired iReporter alamelu to capture these images for posterity. The runners were taking part in the 85th annual Tely 10 mile race in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland and Labrador in Canada. "With the Olympics around the corner I have an added interest in photographing people actively participating in sports," she told CNN. "Fitness is the key to beating stress and I thought they were promoting a healthy habit to the onlookers. Many notable members of the community also took part in the race." More than 3,000 runners regularly take part in the competition.
