    Remembering theater shooting victims

    More from PINCPN

    Gone but not forgotten.

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     PINCPN photographed a memorial service that was held adjacent to the Century 16 movie theater in Aurora, Colorado, where 12 people were killed and dozens injured during a midnight premier of the new Batman movie. Pictured is a person kneeling alongside a row of crosses, mourning the death of a loved one. Although PINCPN is deeply saddened by the tragic loss of life, he says relief is found in the community of Aurora's strength and determination to heal and move forward. "I remember when Columbine happened, how sad the community was, but how everyone pulled together to help each other. I think those crosses were the same thing, people who may or may not have known the victims just trying to do something to help them get through it," he says. "They're not really alone since we are all trying to help each other begin to heal."
