    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Marvin7557 says he was surprised how close they came to the city when he captured this photograph while descending over Chicago. "My reaction to seeing this and capturing this was wow! I thought it looked cool," he says. "The icy waters added to the drama."

    Flying to O'Hare coming across Lake Michigan into the city. Was surprised how close we flew since this was post-9/11. Picture sort of has an apocalyptic scene.
