    Airplane window photos

If there's a heaven I bet it looks a little like this.

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     While on a flight to visit her parents, adbarnesy took this photograph above Washington, DC around 6:30am during the plane's final descent. Always having had a fondness for what you see out of an airplane window, she says it always triggers self-reflection. "I moved away from home 15 years ago so every time I fly over the east coast, it makes me think of when I lived there years ago," she says. Adding that she always prefers a window seat and usually books pretty far in advance so that it's never an issue. "I always want the window seat so I can see how abstract everything looks from above. It's like a whole other world up there," she says. "For this trip I was on a red eye flight from Los Angeles, so I had been sleeping all night. When I heard the captain, I opened my window shade to beautiful clear skies above the mountain-like clouds. It made me think, wow, this is a good good life."
    - Anika3, CNN iReport producer

This shot was taken on my red eye flight from Los Angeles to Washington, DC. I woke up as the captain was telling us we were about to begin our final decent into DC. As I pushed up the window cover I was blown away by what I was about to see. What a beautiful way to start off my day in this whole other world above the clouds.
